Gain from Pain or it will all be in Vain
At some point in our lives, we've heard our elders say ''No Pain No Gain'' which I believe is the raw truth that we should embrace but this four words are something that we only consider when it comes to achievement, success and material wealth that we all desire in some form or the other. But the form which I want to ''stress'' on is the agony that we inflict on ourselves through pain which coincidentally is the word itself- Stress.
I believe it is the consent that we give to pain which it then disguises itself into suffering. The intensity of pain relies on what ''your'' definition of pain is and also the fact that it is inevitable and would be immature of us to strive all we want in order to never experience pain. When the weather analysts forecast a storm which automatically translates into fear and anxiety among all of us but after that violent disturbance of atmosphere hits us, we actually realize this was needed to clean our surroundings and start afresh. Now that is exactly the role of pain in our lives. You might feel anxious and vulnerable to the effects that pain might cause you but if you keep feeling on the same lines then you won't realize when the pain will turn into suffering and by then it would be too late.
Adversity is the test of character they say but if the turn of adverse events are such that it destroys your identity leaving you in despair and open to vulnerability, then will fortitude itself suffice? The path to endurance will always be more challenging than the circumstances and we as humans need to encourage our species to perennially fight the scars and wounds of adversity instead of superficially pushing false affirmations down their throat. Another basic human trait which unfortunately has become an art in this age because we collectively lack it and that is the art of listening. We have become so self-seeking and inconsiderate that we presume only ''our'' narrative is what matters which has led to a constant battle of projecting or rather imposing our perception on the person we are conversing with and we forget that we co-exist and things matter collectively. Because listening has become so extinct, we often fall in the trap of conjecture and jumping to conclusions without complete understanding has become our favorite past time.
Often our first aid solutions to our dear ones when they are going through difficult times is by making them realize about their past achievements and how they have overcome such situations previously and bombarding their ears with what I call "Ineffective motivational'' quotes and words but what we fail to realize is all they need at that particular point in time is a patient ear and the smallest of help possible from your side. Communication is a weapon that can be effectively used to bridge the differences among people and the lack of it will lead to misinterpretation and eventually that would be the reason for the destruction of their relationships. Time, Money and Relationships are something that have a close correlation. Time can only be consumed not earned like money whereas money is something that can be lost much much faster than earned and relationships are like that which can be destructed much faster than constructed but what we don't realize is the fact that is ultimately time that changes the equation of relationships let alone the consequences.
Nice thoughts 👍
