Educate. Don't appreciate rote

Education is the greatest weapon that can be used to solve humanitarian problems.

And yet our education system does not prepare us to do a percent of it. The system that we have in place operates in a wrongly incentivised setting with the greatest emphasis placed on "MARKS" and yet
Professors would always suggest on not to  facsimile others in exams or as it is popularly called "Copying". But they never gave us a reason not to.
The fault lies in not with the Professors or the students but the incentives at play wherein marks who act as a vehicle that would promote you to the next level without revealing the larger picture.
Marks would not always depict the true picture of a performance as it does not consider understanding of concepts because it isn't methodically examined.

But the emphasis on marks solves your problem till a certain level but then it is through grasping, understanding and practical application where real learning happens.
Students realise this while preparing for professional exams or performing tasks in their jobs and they have to start unlearning a lot of things that they learnt all this while and adopt a new approach.

So why not inculcate this approach in your early years?
